INTRODUCTION
McLeod Management is a talent management company in Los Angeles that was founded in 1996 by Debbie McLeod who is the owner and operating talent manager. Debbie brings a wealth of experience and expertise to talent management from her years in the entertainment industry as a successful actor, singer, producer, director, casting director, and teacher. Debbie’s move into talent management sort of snuck up on her. For over 25 years, while actively working as a professional actor, she has been teaching acting (for stage, TV and film), singing, musical theatre performance, commercials, and audition techniques to young people, and also directing them in plays and musicals in Los Angeles. She became extremely dedicated to her actors, assisting them in securing agents, coaching them for auditions, and even accompanying them to auditions for final coaching and support. Her clients started booking jobs regularly and expressed their desire for Debbie to manage their careers. Because of Debbie’s commitment to the development of these young actors and her passion for helping them reach for their dreams and achieve their goals, McLeod Management was born. As a manager, Debbie offers her clients a unique set of management tools that is rare in this business. Her personal dedication and care, exceptional acting and audition coaching, and profound understanding of what an actor is going through as well as what is required of an actor to succeed, based on her own extensive experience as an actor, are invaluable. Additionally, her outstanding leadership abilities, work ethic, and people skills have fostered relationships in the entertainment industry which are accessible and long-lasting, and of great benefit to her clients. Debbie holds a B.A. in Theatre and Minor in Music from Florida State University and an M.F.A. (Master of Fine Arts) in Acting/Directing in Theatre Arts from California State University, Long Beach.
